About Event:

Architecture began to tackle the integration between resilience and sustainability through the implementation of the 17th sustainable development goal, which is "Revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development." "Partnership" is one of the most significant sustainable development goals through which we can execute the first 16 goals. A set of questions have been developed over the importance of architecture and urbanism nowadays, especially with the increase of natural disasters due to global warming and climate change and their impacts on humans and their well-being over the years. Therefore, implementing and reinforcing diverse and integrated approaches that ensure resilient-sustainable cities are inevitable. Dealing with goals such as climate change, well-being, Sustainable cities, responsible production and consumption, and life on land cannot be fragmented or integration-oriented. Researchers, architects, and the government are responsible for establishing sustainable and resilient cities that can face today’s circumstances and potential future consequences. The fifth edition of the International Conference on "Resilient and Responsible Architecture and Urbanism RRAU" presents informative discussions of various topics among researchers and architects on various perspectives and probable future scenarios to understand the reasons behind disasters and the proposed techniques to bring efficient resilience and sustainability techniques to architecture. Accepted papers will have the chance to be published in the Scopus-Indexed ASTI book series “Advances in Science, Technology, and Innovation.
