About Event:

The 7th Intl. Symp. on Sustainable Secondary Battery Manufacturing and Recycling focuses on the full spectrum of sustainable secondary batteries from development to manufacturing and recycling. Some major themes covered but not limited to this symposium are, new developments in Li-ion, Li-S and lead-acid batteries, development of new cathodes and anodes for batteries and sustainability of batteries, including recycling and recovery of active materials. Co-chaired by Prof. Katerina Aifantis from the University of Florida, Dr. Claudio Capiglia from Talga Technologies Limited, Dr. Athan Fox from Aurelius Environmental, and Prof. Vasant Kumar from the University of Cambridge. This symposium will be held as part of the 2020 and 2021 Sustainable Industrial Processing Summit SIPS, an annual event that is deeply science-focused and industrial engineering-oriented, organized by the not-for-profit corporation FLOGEN Stars Outreach https:www.flogen.org, which is dedicated to achieving sustainability through science and technology. It incorporates summit plenary lectures from well-known speakers that address the link between scientific and engineering domains in the pursuit of sustainable development, as well as specific science and engineering symposia that feature technical presentations with the same goals in mind. We have confirmed until now the participation of the following 9 Nobel Laureates: M. Stanley Whittingham, Didier Queloz, Dan Shechtman, Sir Konstantin Novoselov, Aaron Ciechanover, Avram Hershko, Kurt Wuthrich, Ferid Murad, and Sir Richard J. Roberts.
